Hey guys,

So here it is for me after a bit more then a year of owning the GROT...

Didn't had the chance to shoot it too often but even if it's running fine (-ish) I still have a hard time to feel confident with it's reliability.

The first questions about the design came after inspection of some spent cases to checks for marks or dings. Next to the neck, I had some marks but no deformation so just to confirm, I manually ejected some rounds after they were chambered trough normal shooting cycle. On these rounds, the mark is more like a dent next to the case shoulder.

It's created during the cycle of the weapon, the bolt carrier goes back, sliding on the rounds in the magazine and the bolt lower lugs, at some point, impact with the neck area of the cases during the rearward motion and leave a dent on it. While the cycle continues, those rounds are fed to the chamber and when fired, the case bulges out back to it's initial shape. So not a big issue but still...
The rifle does that with all the mags I have. Magpulls v3 (over extention tab filled), lancers, stanags and even the FB mags that have longer support lips (more onthat later).

One thing that is surprizing is the way the bolt extend out the carrier compared to an AR15 for example. Witch lead to this situation of the carrier, going backwards, at the end of it's course, pushed only on the butt of the cases making them tilt nose up in the mag but with the bolt extending so much from it's carrier it will impact the neck of the cases with the back of the lower locking lugs.

By design, I dont see how it could be prevented. That's why I think FB are making their mags with extended (longer) support lips on their mags to try to keep the rounds as flat as possible during bolt cycle before it catches the round for loading. Might be done to help with feeding maybee, no idea...

Do you guys noticed the same? Any potential harm for the bolt lugs? I doubt but was wondering what U think of this.

Second big issue was yesterday, my groups opened up on paper. Trying to narrow it down, I popped the handguard to discover that the barrel lug crossbolt was untightened. I dont know how it could untighten. So I needed to go slightly past the mark to make sure it's properly set to torque. Hope it will not unscrew again... time will tell

All in all, I like the gun, it's ergonomic and quite precise but I still have a hard time to trust it somehow...

Have this on some plastic mags, on steel mags i dont noticed.

Yea have this same. FB set mark on screw before shoot, on my MSBS after shoot, when barrel take vibrations my screws have only 17nm. Just use a torque wrench and torque to 25nm, don't worry about the marking

Normalne spotkanie, rzeczowa rozmowa w normalnej atmosferze. Dużo lepsze, niż obrzucanie się gównem na forum.

Wygląda na jakiegoś fejka - zero układu gazowego, ale za to dwa regulatory XD

No oczywiście, fejk widać na pierwszy rzut oka - inna stopka „kolby”, inny kształt szczeliny między szyną a łożem itd.
No i nawet nie starali się zakryć na obrazku logo FB.
Ale rozmarzyłem się - fajnie byłoby zobaczyć jakieś komercyjne moduły do MSBSa. Nie miałbym nic przeciwko temu, aby zrobili to Turcy.

Na tym rysunku jest nie tyle "inna" stopka kolby, co po prostu jest wzorowany on na prototypach bezkolbowego MSBS-a z 2014. Z dodatkowym "fuck-upem" w postaci zapętlonych regulatorów, o których wspomniał Królik.

Swoją drogą w 2011 turecki państwowy producent uzbrojenia - MKE - prezentował rysunki koncepcyjne nowego karabinu maszynowego mającego zastąpić MG3. Rysunki te dosyć wyraźnie bazowały na naszym UKM-2000 - jak widać Turcy uważnie obserwują osiągnięcia konstruktorów z Lechistanu. Żartobliwie zasugeruję, że być może to efekt pamięci o pistolecie Nuriego Paszy.
