Hi guys!
I see that I overslept a little with this subject;) I have been shooting SS for two years and I don't want to exchange it for another optic. Why?
1. regardless of the optics chosen - I have a rule that it's better to learn the equipment well than to change it often (if it's convenient for you)
2. SS has perfect cross thickness for me - not too thick / not too thin, empty "diamonds" work correctly- they don't cover the target. Vortex Viper PST II had a cross too thick for me -I'd must rejected this optics.
3. Parallax mistake always appears in every optics, it is important to find a way to master it. In SS the cross makes this easier.
4. Blurry image depending on the distance are clear. For example, in IOR I saw everything sharply, here the blur can be distinguished nicely.
I described only my impressions, but I think like Maciek Szuwarek - every eye is different. I wouldn't dare recommend a specific model to the other person. I can talk about the pros and cons and ask someone to check it on their own eye.

There is no, one to fit them all scope.
I've been shooting SWFA SS 10x42 mildot for two years now and it is great (recently my wife got a milquad version). Its features have been highlighted in this thread, my favourite is good parallax error control.
Recently my eyesight slightly deteriorated, depth of field decreased resulting in uncomfortable sighting at close ranges. Therefore I'm switching to Vortex DT 4-16x44, which I believe will aid my eyes. As Agnieszka said, it probably will cost me a while till I learn a new scope, which sucks
